Frosted Pink Gold Cupcake Card

Hi y’all! I’m participating in my first Craft Roulette Challenge! This birthday card is pretty different from my normal style but, I think it’s super fun! The colors were inspired by the Color Hue Challenge.

Texture and shine! 2 of my favorite things in a card! For the white background, I used an embossing folder to give it some dimension. I angled cut it and offset it with gold foil paper. I tried something different this time around and embossed a sentiment on the foil paper! It turned out better than I expected. Thankfully the happy birthday fit perfectly!

For the frosting I ink blended 2 different shades of Altenew Dye ink onto a light pink paper. For the candle, I alternated between gold foil and gold sparkle paper. The cupcake liner I altered with a muted gold textured paper and a foil gold paper. I backed the card on pink. I hope y’all enjoyed this card and it inspires you to take a shake at a handmade birthday card soon!

Hi folks! I hope everything is going good for y’all! My kid’s physical therapist recently got engaged and it was the perfect reason to break out this Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Bachelorette stamp! I’ve been itching to use it! I chose the colors based off remembering a color challenge wrong. Oops! It was nice to bring the pzazz out in this card though!

I used a heart patterned paper from Scrapbook.com for the heart background. I used the green glitter paper from Simon Says for the ‘wreath’ and accent strips on the bottom. I made the color of the hearts with a fun pink embossing powder and then die cut the hearts out!

Winter Penguins Skating

Make sure you check this card in action on my Instagram or YouTube!

Hey y’all and Happy New Year! Today I’m here with a card heavily inspired by the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge! I knew I to do a shaker card that was outside of the box. So today I decided to have my penguin skating on the frozen lake! Boy was this card a labor of love and trial and error. I’m so thankful it turned out the way it did, even it took several hours and taking reconstructive surgery. Lol.

The key to this card was LAYERS. Soooo many layers. I struggled to keep the penguin to have enough space from the layers I put the fishing line on and the top acetate layer. When I had too few layers it wouldn’t move and that was incredibly frustrating. For the sky I did a distress oxide background. The trees I colored with alcohol markers and paint splattered with a mix of water and white acrylic paint. The frozen lake is an alcohol ink swirl artwork piece.

Thank you for checking out this card! Here’s to a year of happiness and crafting!

Pink & Green Floral Thanks

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful year. I was fortunate enough to spend lots of time crafting this year.

The making of this card:
I stamped the Altenew Thank You 2022 stamp set that I received as a surprise gift in the mail. This gift helped push me back to my coloring. So, thank you for that! I stamped the flower in black ink and then colored it with Altenew markers R437, R318, R403, R601, G702, G715. Then, I fussy cut the image. I used the grid like die cut in green. Then, I cut it down and made it into an accent strip. I decided to separate the 2 flowers. After I fussy cut those, I glued several strips of paper to the back of the flowers to give them dimensions.

I decided to stamp the sentiment, thanks, onto the same shade of green paper as the accent strip. I stamped it with a white pigment ink and actually had success! Hooray! I used a light pink cardstock and ink blended over it with the Rouge ink color. I cut this piece slightly larger than the green strip of paper and glued them together. I placed them towards the bottom of the card. And there you have it! My card to wrap up the year for the

Christmas Cards 2022

Disclaimer: Compensated affiliate links are used when possible. Thank you for your support!

Merry Christmas y’all! I don’t know about you but, our December was jam packed this year! I actually didn’t get around to making cards until the days leading up to Christmas and on Christmas. So, my apologies for those receiving cards late this year. It’s the thought that counts though, right? I hope these give you some idea for your cards in the future!

Pink Ornament Tree Card

  • hand stamped tree colored green with pink ornaments and gold star. framed with gold.
  • Straight on view of hand stamped tree colored green with pink ornaments and gold star. framed with gold.
  • side view hand stamped tree colored green with pink ornaments and gold star. framed with gold.

For this card I broke out a piece of alcohol ink artwork I had done and stamped it and fussy cut the ornaments! I hand stamped the tree in brown and detail brushed ink on with green for the leaves. I handmade a star from foil paper because I couldn’t find my star dies. Oops. TO finish things off, I used a rectangle frame from gold paper.

Pink Doe Christmas Card

  • Alternating stripes of gold foiled embossed strips and pink alcohol ink swirled stripes. Framed with a white rectangle and topped with a brown outlined doe on white paper.
  • Side angle of Alternating stripes of gold foiled embossed strips and pink alcohol ink swirled stripes. Framed with a white rectangle and topped with a brown outlined doe on white paper.

I used the same pink alcohol ink artwork from the previous card and cut strips from it. I used gold foil paper and used a embossing rectangular die cut of various Christmas like shapes. I alternated the pink and gold. I put a white rectangular frame on the edges of those. I added 2 layers of rectangles under the doe to raise it up off the card and placed it on top of everything in the center. I hand stamped the doe in brown and fussy cut it out.

I hand stamped Happy Holidays in a gold shimmer pigment ink. I embossed snowflake like stripes in foil and adhered them to the right of the card and put a blue alcohol strip piece in the middle. To tie things together, I stamped in blue a person holding presents and fussy cut it out. Then, I adhered it on top of the stripes.

Shiny Embossed Stocking

  • Side view of Red and grayish blue foil paper stripes of embossed shapes adhered to make paper. Then die cut in a stocking shape.

I die cut several strips of embossed holiday like shapes in red and grayish blue stripes. Then, I glued all of the same color lined up together to make the appearance of one piece of paper. Then, I die cut them with a stocking die cut and adhered it to the middle of the card.

Winter Wonderland Card

I used a Hello Bluebird die cut to make this scene. I colored the trees with green and brown colored pencils and then added white acrylic paint on top of the trees. I made a blue alcohol swirl artwork piece and die cut the pond. I use a sky scrap that I made for a space themed card earlier in the year with distress oxide ink.

Oh Holy Night Card

Stamped this card with Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink and black ink. I stamped the star in gray and put color pop glitter on it and spread it around with a toothpick. I adhered these to a green card base. Fun fact, I made over 70 of these this year! 60 were without the green card base and were put in boxes for Operation Christmas Child! It was such a fun thing to do.

Blue Green Birthday Card

I’ve had this camera die cut / stamp set for a bit and I’m so happy I finally got to put it to use! I started off with coloring my little monster with copics. Then, I colored the camera and the picture frame. I glued 3 layers for the picture frame. Rather than using foam tape, I did 3 layers of scrap strips throughout the back of the camera. I made sure to avoid where the photo would hide when not pulled out. I did find hand stamping with a block was easier for the pull here sentiment. I felt like the paper gave the look of the flash that a camera has. I also used a white gel pen on the camera flash to draw x’ and used a glitter pen over it to give the illusion of an actual flash.

On the inside of this I decided to have a bigger happy birthday sentiment. I wanted to keep the vibe of the card big.

I’ve had this stamp set for probably a year and loved it but, really didn’t know what to use it for. I’ve gotten more comfortable with copic coloring and decided to go for it with these foxes. After coloring the foxes, I fussy cut them out. I die cut a circle out of Sage cardstock (4.25″ x 5.5″) four times. On one of them, I used a diamond cover plate to add texture to it. I glued vellum to the back of that one. I stamped ‘Welcome little one’ on the vellum. I had diecut stars in light blue and light yellow and added star sequins for behind the vellum. I glued the 3 layers onto the card base, put the stars in the middle, and added the final layer (the one with sentiment and vellum).

Paw Perfect Birthday + Big News

Eeek! Made my first Design Team! I’m so excited to be joining the Happy Little Stampers: Birthday Challenge team! I made this birthday card to get things started with them! I also made it for a dear friend of mine that is the best dog Mom around!

I started this card off with ink blending with paw prints onto as an accent strip. Then, I colored this cute girl and her dog! Then, I fussy cut it out and glued it on top of the paw prints towards the right side. I had stamped my sentiment directly on the paper but, I decided that I did not like the color ink I chose. So, I grabbed a piece of white paper and stamped it. I thought that it was too much white and was distracting though. So I colored over it with my copic marker and assembled the rest of the card. I love how easy it is to change the color of sentiment strips with copics!

Thank you so much for reading! I’m so excited to start this journey on my first design team! Happy Crafting!

Hey y’all! I’m here with my first watercolor card for Happy Little Stampers: Watercolour Challenge!

For this card I hand stamped a popsicle repeatedly in a water safe ink. Then, I used mini cube inks on glass media mat, sprayed it with water, and then applied to the paper with a paint brush. This is such a fun technique for watercolor! Make sure to check out the new challenge! Let me know in the comments so I can visit your creation. Happy Crafting Y’all!

We’ve had sickness after sickness over here. After our 1st ER trip over the past 2 weeks, I needed something joyful to make. Winter themed cards always give me joy. I decided to get my copics out and go to town. Coloring is super therapeutic for me. I’ve had these people and hedgehog stamps since Christmas. I’m glad I finally got to use them!

I chose my colors based off of the Color Hues Challenge. I used my brayer and applied ink directly to the embossing folder. I think applied ink in the middle of the embossed paper with an ink blending brush. T. hen, I colored the people and hedgehog. I originally only had the girl and hedgehog but, I didn’t like it, so I took the hedgehog off and added the boy and the hedgehog. I had stamped the joy on cardstock and die cut it. Then die cut 2 scrap papers in with the joy die cut also. I glued them all together to give my joy more dimension. I used my Misti to help stamp the ‘to the world’ sentiment.
